My little boy loves this class. Mister Chris holds the little ones attention the whole time with different things to play with and different songs each week. He ends class with a little bread snack that everyone loves. He's also very flexible with parents. A plus is that your child gets to see the cows on the farm each week when coming to class.

Our 2 year old daughter has fallen in love with the Music For Sprouts classes. Chris has a natural way with children, by always keeping them curious, as he shares the sweetest songs for all to sing. Chris helps us to remember the importance of letting kids be kids by encouraging all to play, dance, and sing during his classes. Each class forms a nice community that continues way beyond the classroom. We can't wait for our next class to begin! ...more

Just a delightful way to spend time with your child(ren) or grandchildren while making a meaningful connection to music, community& farm-scape! My daughter and I still sing Chris's music as we play in our home! Chris's music is downloadable and great to play at play-dates and during times we dance and feel silly! The class is full of interactive games to learn and play. Must note the super sweet families who attend that you may get to know. Chris creates such a welcoming space for our young children! We love Music for Sprouts! ...more

My boys are both graduates of the Music for Sprouts program, and we still listen to, sing along with, and make up new words to Mr. Chris's tunes - they are a part of our family and are here to stay! As a parent, I'm very careful about the music I introduce to my kiddos, knowing that I may end up listening to it thousands of times a month. The music for sprouts tunes are original, heartwarming, catchy, and leave plenty of room for our imaginations. When participating in the program, it was a highlight of our week to enter the cozy bakery space and engage in music and dance with other families. I highly recommend this program to anyone who is looking for a worthwhile family activity!...more

Three cheers for Mister Chris! Our boys were not interested in local story times or music groups - they would get bored quickly and we'd often leave early. Mister Chris magically captured their attention and imagination and now they both love to move - and sing. I can't say enough about how much we all look forward to singing with him.

Music for Sprouts is such a gift!
Our 1.5-year-old twins have been attending since they were 10-months-old and love it! It is the highlight of our week. They love the songs, the games, the rituals, the instruments, the other kids and having their parents there with them. They are thrilled to arrive and exhausted when they leave and we all sing Mr. Chris' songs for the rest of the week. The best part for the parents is that singing Mr. Chris' songs is such a pleasure - they often have that bittersweet note of nostalgia and gratitude for life and its fleeting nature. His songs capture the emotional experience of being a parent, and in singing them, anchors us to the present moment of witnessing our children. Our hearts are full in every class....more

We love Music for Sprouts! My 14 mo old daughter and I have been attending class since she was 6 mo. Chris has a connection with children and makes mothers, fathers and caregivers feel at ease in his class. He is a gifted songwriter and performer and we sing his songs everyday. We've enjoyed new songs for every season! 5 stars, hands down, on the drums!

My 18 month old son and I LOVE our Music For Sprouts class each week!! Chris has such a magical way with the wee ones; so patient, so intuitive, so warm and so very much fun, the hour goes by smoothly and (too) quickly! We have participated in other music classes before which were fine, my son loves music and he loves to dance. But Music For Sprouts is more than a music class for my kiddo....It's a circle that involves a great deal of imaginative play with sound and movement where the kids are getting far more than exposure to rhythm and music; the hour is magical and rich with discovery. And, it's an opportunity to visit a farm each week with your kiddo where there are tractors, cows, pigs, and gardens to delight in on your way to/from class. Chris brings joy and silliness to his class in a way that makes for a fun-filled experience for both my son and I. As others have stated before me, I can't recommend this class highly enough! Enjoy!!!...more

Young Tradition Vermont is proud of its association with Music for Sprouts. Chris Dorman is a warm, gentle and talented soul who has incredibly great instincts about what is right musically for young children and their families. I wish this was happening when we still had sprouts in our house!
